Benefits of Tool or App

• Free!
• Simple and straightforward to use
• Can record even if the display is not on, which saves battery life
• Easy to save and rename files
• Easy to send via Bluetooth, email, or SMS
• If Dropbox is on device, can quickly save to Dropbox
• Unlimited recording, as long as device has memory
• Can add to recording even after it has been saved

Constraints of Tool or App

• 3rd party apps have to be installed on device for easy upload (more apps mean more memory is used)
• Free version has ads (some are full screen for several seconds); $5 for ad free version
• If a student long clicks to share or rename, delete could easily be hit instead
• Tape a Talk is not available for Apple devices currently, and while Apple devices have their own options, it is nice when an app can be used across all devices for continuity

How To Use Tool or App

1. Download App
2. Starting recording by hitting the record button
3. Hit stop to stop recording.
4. Click quickly on the recording you want to playback.
5. Click the volume buttons to rewind or fast forward (or use sliding bar at the bottom)
6. Long hold if you want to rename, share, or add to your recording.
